Responsible for providing both operational and engineering focused recommendations, the maintenance manager’s focus on ensuring both performance and safety is key to optimizing production. An expert on the company’s system equipment and design, this role is responsible for developing scope identification documents and supporting concept developmental materials, detailed budget estimates, and risk and alternative assessments. Working cross-functionally and with plant manufacturing, the role of maintenance manager supports innovation efforts and project-level capital planning and project implementation relating to project development, specification development, and start-up processes. Additionally, maintenance managers often have frequent interactions with equipment and material vendors, engineering consultants and installation contractors.
