Team Lead, Production

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the milling production team, ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality grain products meeting customer specifications
• Oversee equipment maintenance and repair, including scheduling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and managing spare parts inventory to minimize downtime
• Enforce and champion all food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation programs, including HACCP compliance, ensuring a safe work environment and product integrity
• Optimize mill performance and yield, proactively identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, reducing waste, and controlling operating expenses
• Manage production resources (materials, equipment, and personnel), ensuring their availability and effective utilization to meet production schedules and budgetary goals
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking and implementing ways to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement
• Manage the packaging and warehouse areas in order to safely and efficiently package, load and handle products and reduce waste.
• Personally demonstrate a commitment to food and human safety

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Business or related field
• Two years manufacturing experience
• One year+ supervisory experience
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes; TPM knowledge highly preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience in a union facility is a plus
• Experience with several computer applications
